Summer Film Screenings at Hadsham Lake - 14th to 16th August 2026 - by Hadsham Farm Weddings
Hadsham Farm Weddings has a rare free weekend — and we're not about to waste it. Join us for pop-up summer screenings by the beautiful lakeside, with films for all ages. Tickets numbers are limited so these will be intimate, small-scale events. The screen however, will be BIG! Thanks to https://www.bizetbeeboard.xyz/
The Tipi bar will be open all day serving drinks and snacks, and Freespirit Events will be on site with their food truck — providing fresh, locally-sourced food from morning coffee and pastries through to delicious bites for lunch and dinner, all at very reasonable prices.
Mornings — for the little ones
A couple of short Julian Donaldson / Magic Light films to kick things off. Arrive from 9am - the show starts at 10.30am. Bring a blanket for the grass, or grab one of our deckchairs if you wish. Tea, coffee, pastries and bacon rolls from the food truck; film snacks and cold drinks from the bar. Some of our garden games will be dotted about too. The show runs for about an hour, finishing around 11.30am — please vacate the site by 11.45am.
Afternoons — for the medium ones
A family classic on the big screen. Arrive from 1pm - the show starts at 3pm. Bring a blanket for the grass, or grab one of our deckchairs if you wish. Lunch and ice creams from the food truck; film snacks and cold drinks from the bar. Some of our garden games will be dotted about too. The show runs for about an hour and 45, finishing around 4.45pm — please vacate the site by 5pm.
Evenings — for the big ones (16+)
A full-length classic feature under the stars, with deckchair seating included in every ticket. Arrive from 6pm - the show starts at 8.30pm. Dinner and ice creams from the food truck; cold beers, wine, bubbles, soft drinks and film snacks from the bar. Music will be playing as the sun goes down so the atmosphere on the decking will be hard to beat. Running time is roughly 2–2.5 hours, finishing around 10.30-11pm — please vacate the site promptly once the film ends.
We're happy for you to leave the car overnight if you fancy a drink — Royal Cars are our go-to local taxi firm. Cars are left at your own risk and must be collected by 9am the next day.
Make a night of it
Staying for the evening screening? Make a proper night of it in one of our 12 lakeside glamping tents — a super-king bed under the stars, made up with a warm 13.5-tog duvet, pillows and sheets. Each tent also has lighting and a USB charging port (bring your own cable).
Come morning, freshen up with a hot shower (bring your own towel), then fuel up with a coffee, pastry or bacon roll from the food truck at 8.30am before heading off by 9.30am.
Evening film tickets are not included in the Glamping price and must be bought in addition.
The essentials
Weather — screenings go ahead rain or shine, unless a weather warning forces us to cancel. Pack for the great British summer, and bring a sense of humour.
Cancellations — as our first pop-up at Hadsham Farm Weddings, we reserve the right to cancel if ticket sales fall short. Any cancellation on our part means a full refund.
Refunds — outside of the above, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Dogs — much as we love them, no dogs at this one.
Food & drink — To support our two local businesses, we ask that you leave the picnic hamper at home — only food and drink purchased on site may be consumed.
What to wear — August evenings at the lake can turn chilly, so bring a blanket or warm layers. If rain's forecast, waterproofs or a poncho are advised. Umbrellas aren't permitted, as they block the view for those behind you.
Toilets — facilities are located beside the Tipi, a short walk from the lakeside screening area.
Accessibility — the lakeside screening area is accessed via a slope, so wheelchair and mobility access might be challenging. Accessible toilets are available beside the Tipi. If you have specific access requirements, please get in touch beforehand and we'll do our best to help.
Parking — we have space for around 70 cars, so please car share where you can and park close to your neighbour. Overflow parking is available but it's a 400m walk. Evening guests are welcome to leave cars overnight (at their own risk) and collect by 9am the following morning.
Lakeside - for safety, the lakeside will be closed off for the morning and afternoon screenings.
Films on the Farm - if you can't make any of these shows, Hadsham Farm will be running outdoor cinema sessions over the August Bank Holiday weekend - check the main farm website for details - https://www.hadshamfarm.co.uk/
