COMING HOME:  A DAY OF PSOMA WITH DONNA MARTIN

Psoma is a unique, simplified, and more somatic version of Hakomi.

The three stages of Psoma are Presence, Play, and Possibility.

Presence: Psoma offers a way of bringing attention to somatic patterns that show up in present time. These can express unconscious models of self and reality that can be limiting or cause unnecessary suffering.

Play: Psoma uses curiosity and a playful way of creating embodied experiences to explore these somatic patterns and allow for the discovery of something new.

Possibility: Donna refers to these discoveries as new possibilities. Psoma supports the spontaneous emergence of new ways of being embodied and of organizing experience – positive alternatives to old patterns that were limiting and/or were causing unnecessary suffering.

You Can Expect To:

1 Cultivate Wakeful, Present‑Centered Awareness

Participants learn to shift from ordinary mindfulness to what Donna calls wakefulness—a present‑moment awareness that opens space for choice and new possibilities.

2. Recognize and Transform Somatic Patterns

Learners deepen their ability to notice the somatic expression of old realities—habitual embodied patterns that shape suffering—and to support spontaneous shifts into more resourced embodiment.

3. Practice Non‑Violence and Loving Presence

Psoma emphasizes ahimsa (non‑violence) and the capacity to be a healing presence without trying to fix anything. Participants practice offering presence that supports another’s unfolding of intrinsic wholeness.

4. Engage in Assisted Self‑Discovery and New Possibilities

Rather than seeking a “missing experience,” Psoma invites learners to participate in the discovery of new possibilities that arise naturally when old patterns are met with curiosity and support.

5. Develop Skills in Presence, Play, and Possibility

Workshops train participants in Psoma’s core movement: attending to what is present, playing with patterns through gentle experiments, and allowing new possibilities to emerge.

The most important new experience that can emerge in a Psoma journey is what Donna calls coming home. This is a shift from an old reactive embodiment to one that is more natural, more resourced, creative, and wise… a state where one can access one’s own inner wisdom.

For many of you, this will be a day of coming home to our Hakomi group in Toronto! For others, this may be your first experience of Psoma or Hakomi. All are welcome but space is limited.

General Admission tickets entitle the participant to all aspects of the day from the beginning until 4 pm. Premium ticket holders are invited to a Q & A with Donna Martin from 4 pm to 5 pm. Register early to reserve your seat!

Looking Forward to Seeing You There!
