Workshop 2: Support Regulation in Everyday Life
Part 2 in a 2 part parenting workshop series designed and taught by Occupational Therapist, Sara Sheppard. Each workshop is unique and you can attend them individually or together.
Have you ever wondered why one child craves movement while another avoids it? Why some children melt down over seemingly small things, or why certain strategies work one day and not the next?
This interactive two-part workshop for parents explores how the nervous system shapes behavior, emotions, learning, and connection. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviors, we’ll discover how the body experiences safety, stress, and regulation—and why every nervous system is unique.
Through hands-on activities, simple neuroscience, and real-life examples, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your own nervous system and learn practical ways to support your child’s regulation in everyday life.
Whether your child is neurodivergent, highly sensitive, or simply experiences the world in their own unique way, you’ll leave with greater confidence, compassion, and tools that strengthen connection at home.
No prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
