Need help?
The first ever Video Games Industry Memo event is taking place on Wednesday 10th July and you're invited to attend.
The VGIM Business Breakfast - sponsored by Big Games Machine - is an early morning networking event taking place at Loading Bar that brings together VGIM subscribers for chat, coffee and a short panel about an industry topic.
The running order
8:30am-9am: The venue opens, with attendees invited to grab a coffee, tea and pastry while they network.
9am-9:30am: Our panel on The future of video games media takes place.
9:30am-10am: The event closes, with an opportunity for some final chats before you go on your merry way.
The panel - The future of video games media
The first VGIM Business Breakfast will discuss the future of the video games media. Following the recent acquisition of Gamer Network by IGN and challenges within the space, we'll talk about the health of games media today, the challenges it faces and whether innovation within the landscape is needed to preserve its future.
The panel, which will be hosted by VGIM Editor George Osborn, will feature:
- Chris Bratt, People Make Games
- Neil Long, mobilegamer.biz
- Ruby Spier-Unwins, Pocket Tactics
There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the panel and to say hello the panellists before you head off to enjoy the rest of Develop: Brighton.
Code of conduct
VGIM community events are designed to be welcoming. Harassment, discrimination and abuse will not be tolerated. Breaches of the code of conduct should be reported to George Osborn. Anyone found to have breached the rules will be ejected from the event and barred from future VGIM events.
