The VGIM Business Breakfast - sponsored by Games Press - returns to Brighton on Wednesday 9th July and you're invited to come along to both meet our readers and talk about one of our favourite topics: the video games media.

Once again, we'll be bringing the VGIM community together to have a cuppa and a croissant, learn a little bit about a topic shaping the games business today and network with one another before heading off to Develop Brighton.

The running order

8:30am-9am: The venue opens, with attendees invited to grab a coffee, tea and pastry while they network.

9am-9:30am: A short panel about the past, present and future of the video games press will take place.

9:30am-10am: The event closes, with an opportunity for some final chats before you go on your merry way.

The panel - The past, present and future of games media

How has the games media changed over the past two decades? What challenges and opportunities does it face today? And what comes next for the games media and all the readers and businesses that rely on it?

George E. Osborn, the editor of Video Games Industry Memo, will be hosting a conversation with leading games journalists to talk about the changing face of games media leaving you with plenty of thoughts to mull over during the rest of the Develop conference.

Our panellists

Our guests for this year's Business Breakfast are:

  • Dan Dawkins - Content Director, The Future Games Show
  • Matthew Reynolds - Freelance Journalist, previously Polygon and Eurogamer
  • Tracey McGarrigan - Founder, Ansible Comms

They'll be sharing their thoughts about the state of the media with us for half an hour. They'll also be around for a coffee afterwards, so do make sure to say hello if you get a chance.
