VGIM Business Breakfast: Sponsored by PXN
Need help?

The VGIM Business Breakfast, sponsored by PXN, returns to Loading Bar in Brighton on Wednesday 15th July.
Once again, we'll be bringing the VGIM community together to have a cuppa and a croissant, learn a little bit about a topic shaping the games business today and network with one another before heading off to Develop Brighton.
The running order
8:30am-9am: The venue opens, with attendees invited to grab a coffee, tea and pastry while they network.
9am-9:30am: A short panel featuring experts from the video game industry will take place.
9:30am-10am: The event closes, with an opportunity for some final chats before you go on your merry way.
The panel - Hit Publish(ers): how to stand out in a crowded market
The number of games released across platforms grew again last year, with tens of thousands of video game releases excacerbating what boffins at Omdia describe as the industry's "content crush".
But despite the doom and gloom, games are quietly finding audiences. And increasingly, publishers who have clarity on their area of specialism, who can identify opportunities in the global game market and know what disciplined success looks like in a modern market are reaping the benefit.
At this year's business breakfast, we're going to be joined by a panel of publishing experts to find out how the modern publishing landscape has changed, what they're doing differently to cut-through in a competitive landscape and how that affects your chances of being signed.
Our panellists are:
- Harvey Elliott, CEO, PlayStack (Balatro, The Case of the Golden Idol, Mortal Shell)
- Joe Robinson, Communications Director, Hooded Horse (Manor Lords, Heroes of Might and Magic, Rebel Inc)
- Ariel Pai, Senior Product Scout and Business Development Manager, PQube (Cat Quest, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Tormented Souls)
- Olly McGowan, Chief Technology Officer, PXN (clients include Bethesda, Nintendo and Xbox)
