The traditional view of Roman history might be that after the invasion in AD43 Britain was populated sparsely by people wearing togas and living in villas. And for some time this idea was underpinned by archaeological discoveries, however advances in thinking and technology have turned this around and we now believe that our countryside was quite densely populated with farms and small towns. Peter will explain how things have changed and what it means to us.

A cash bar will be available before and after the talk.
