Tajweed Module 3 SISTERS (Tuesdays 7-9PM Ustadha Shaakera)

About the course

This class is the next step on the learning path to understand the mudood (elongations) that take place frequently in the Qur'an. Once you have covered module 2, and are familiar with the ahkaam, this will be a step up in enhancing your recitation and gaining a new appreciation in reading the Qur'an.

The topics covered are all of the different kinds of madds in the Qur'an as well as their order of priority. There will also be an expectation to apply the knowledge of earlier modules.

The duration of the course is 12 weeks with an exam at the end, and this module is followed by a short recitation course before progression on to the next module.

Requirements for entry

Date and time

The course will take place on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and will last for 12 weeks with the final week being an exam.

About the Teacher

Ustadha Shakera Pathan

A graduate from the Alimiyyah course at Jamea al Kauthar in 2002.
Taught at the seminary for two years.

She went on to further her studies in the sacred science of Tajweed, a few years later with Ustadha Shafaq and Ustadha Hannah at Hamilul Quran. She has continued to teach Tajweed and Islamic studies to all ages since then. She is currently continuing her studies in Tajweed and is reading for Ijaazah with Ustadha Shafaq.
