College Football of the South

Down here, college football isn't really a sport. It's a religion with better snacks and significantly more yelling.

This edition of Hammered History digs into the very real, very weird history behind Southern college football—from bizarre traditions and legendary rivalries to mascots, scandals, superstitions, questionable decisions, and the origins of things we now accept as completely normal because our grandparents did them first.

We'll hit LSU, Alabama, Tulane, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia, Texas A&M and more—because no fanbase is leaving here unscathed.

It's comedy. It's actual history. It's probably going to start an argument at somebody's table.
