Events list
Hi, I'm Sophie, founder of Hampshire Holistic. I am an IPHM trained sound healing practitioner, holistic massage and facial therapist and burnout coach. After 15 years working in marketing, I experienced burnout and began exploring holistic approaches to wellbeing. Through my own journey with coaching, self-study, exploration and finding joy in singing in a choir, I discovered the transformative effects of sound healing.
I run 2 small group Sound Baths on a monthly schedule in Petersfield (Hampshire) and Westbourne (West Sussex), as well as offering private group bookings and 1:1 sessions.
What is a Sound Bath?
A Sound Bath is a restorative experience, similar to meditation, that uses instruments such as crystal and Tibetan singing bowls and chimes to guide the body and mind into a soothing state of rest. No previous meditation or sound healing experience is needed and first-timers are very much welcomed. Everyone is invited to simply show up in comfy clothes and enjoy an uninterrupted hour of time for themselves.
What does a Sound Bath do? Or what will I feel?
Many people come to a sound bath in search of rest and relaxation, and typically that is what people experience. As we are all unique, people can have different experiences even in the same environment.
Some people find it hard to slow down and feel restless, others feel emotional. Some attendees have told me they have seen a rainbow of colours, or felt like they have drifted off into space. Most people either feel very sleepy and some do fall asleep and wake up feeling like they had a lovely nap.
Why choose my Sound Bath sessions?
Sound baths are incredibly popular but each practitioner has their own style and unique sound signature. I firmly believe there is a place for everyone as we all bring something different.
My approach is gentle, nurturing and inclusive, creating an environment where I hope every participant feels able to unwind and simply be in the moment. My playing style is grounding and soothing. Currently all my sessions are gong free.
