I'm Olu, Etiquette Coach and Consultant, author of Because Manners Matter, and I'm hosting an afternoon tea that's about far more than the sandwiches.

Sopwell House is a luxury spa Georgian country house hotel set on 12 acres of peaceful grounds. We have our own private room with an exclusive terrace and garden, so from the moment you arrive with a welcome drink in hand, this is our space and no one else's.
Warm scones, clotted cream, dainty finger sandwiches, all the trimmings you'd expect and then some, served properly, the way it's meant to be done.

While you eat, I'll be walking you through the history of afternoon tea and the etiquette behind it, the kind of thing that turns "I had tea" into "I know how to do this properly." A live saxophonist will be playing throughout.

We're kicking things off a full day before National Afternoon Tea Week even begins. First to the table, as always.
Only 50 seats. Once they're gone, they're gone.

A little style note, no pressure at all. If you fancy leaning into the occasion, think tea dresses and fascinators (gents, a smart shirt does the job nicely). Dressing up isn't required, but it does make the whole afternoon feel that bit more special.
