πΏ Could a heat pump work in your home?
What does it really take to switch to low-carbon heating β and is a heat pump right for your home?
Join our practical, community-led Powerhouse Workshop to find out what works, what it costs and what you need to consider before making the switch.
Youβll hear directly from Hanover & Elm Grove residents who have installed air source heat pumps in two very different homes:
π‘ A Victorian home in Elm Grove β see how a heat pump can work in an older property, including the challenges and lessons learned.
π A modern new-build in Hanover β explore a heat pump combined with underfloor heating and how the system performs in a newer home.
POP Energy will provide expert guidance on the practical questions you need answered, including:
π‘οΈ How do heat pumps actually work?
π· What do they cost β and what are the potential savings?
π Can they work in older or less energy-efficient homes?
π§ What work might be needed to your home?
β
How do you find a good installer and what standards should you look for?
π° What funding and support is available?
β‘ What about electricity tariffs and running costs?
Thereβll be plenty of time for questions, followed byΒ information stalls and informal conversations with local residents and experts, including People Owned Power (POP) Energy and Brighton & Hanover Energy Services Coop (BHESCO).
No sales pitch β just real experiences, practical advice and the information you need to decide what might work for your home.
