Hand Stitched Rainbow Bobbin Reel
Come and explore the world of creative textiles with Karen from Harlequin Arts, to create a slow stitch rainbow reel using fabric, haberdashery, embellishments and embroidery. 
Inspired by colour, you will be guided on how to use a range of fabrics and stitches to create your own unique fabric reel design.
You will use ink pads to colour the background fabric first, then add snippets of fabric, net, lace, ribbon, before adding hand stitch and embellishments of buttons, sequins, etc.. You can either go with the rainbow theme, choose your own colour scheme or choose a theme of your own as inspiration.
Full guidance will be given in a supportive learning environment.

Whether you've never stitched before, only sewn a button on since school days or have some experience in creative textiles, then this day is for you!

£50 including all materials, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

About your tutor: Karen is a freelance textile artist and experienced creative textiles tutor and will help you from start to finish.

This course is suitable for: beginners and those with some experience of hand stitching.

Other Details:

Hot drinks will be provided throughout the day, but please bring your own mug or flask and a packed lunch.

If you have your own sewing kit and/ or personal fabrics or embellishments, then do feel free to bring them along, but please be assured that all materials  and equipment will be supplied for all.
