Jyl Mars (and the Crisis) is a music collective made up of a handful of dear friends. Syl, Martha, Julia, Chris, Chris, and Christian met through the weird and wonderful web that is the Philadelphia indie-folk scene, and have been making nice noises together since summertime 2024. Together they are presenting The Meantime; a collection of songs, words, stories, and feelings posing the question, “if the world is ending what are you doing in the meantime?” The answer is a collective sigh, an admission that all we have is ourselves and each other, the cup of tea while crying, the shard of seaglass held up to wildfire-haze sunlight, the relentless hope in the face of dread, and the hope for the tap finally running clear. 

Kipp Clifford is an alternative folk duo based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Brothers Jesse and Christian Harper began to collaborate and write songs together in 2022. Their music hints at narrative, drawing from real and fictional experiences, and explores the distorted effects of human perspective. Reflecting on the constant change of life, their work contemplates childhood, memory, and longing.
