Results from Our Swap Meet and Boat Show Raffle

We had a beautiful day for our event held at Westbrook  Outlets on April 23'rd 2022.
We had an excellent  showing of participants with a constant stream of  attendees and sales throughout the day.

The raffle was held promptly at 2 P.M., and we are pleased to announce the following  winners:
1st prize of $500 went to ticket 163 held by Pete B.
2nd prize of $300 went to ticket 208 held by Fabio S.
3rd prize of $150 went to ticket 071 held by Dave W.

We feel that our show was  an unqualified success for a first-time effort at  handling such a significant
event. We had a delightful day catching up with old friends, making new friends,  enjoying the
fantastic food provided by our vendors,  and made a few dollars to help fund our mission of 
improving the boating experience for all those on the  water.

Our sincerest thanks go out to everyone  who bought spaces, sold raffle tickets, and otherwise  helped
make our show successful. We are looking forward to seeing you all next year!

Hartford Power Squadron is again having its annual swap meet. This event will be huge, with over 150 spaces available to rent for the day at a price of only $25 per space. The event is open to both individuals and commercial organizations. There will be food trucks and extensive advertising, including the Westbrook Outlet electronic sign on Rt 153, emails to over 12,000 Outlet customers, posters in establishments, etc. If you have merchandise you want to offer to a boating audience before the spring boating season starts, and you don't want to pay big boat show prices to do it, this is the place to come!

This year we've decided to try something new. We're combining the swap meet with a Boat Show at a larger, more visible venue close to the beach shopping public. Join us and see what you can find in new and used merchandise to get you and your boat ready for the summer. Did I mention we will also have food and drinks available? Our current food lineup is a smorgasbord of gastronomic delights including a Hot Dog Cart, a Dessert Truck with beverages, a Taco Truck, a Southwestern Food Truck, a Puerto Rican Food Truck, and a Mexican Food Truck.

Don't have a boat? In addition to boating merchandise, we expect vendors and individuals to bring a mix of both new and used boats to sell. See offerings from dealers and private owners. Your next boat may just be sitting in our show waiting for you. Don't let someone else buy it before you get there!

Have a boat to sell? Rent one of our larger "Two Spaces End to End" offerings for $50, bring your boat down on a trailer, and sell it with us.

Do you have too much boating paraphernalia? Have you accumulated a lot of "Good Stuff" over the years and need to clear out the basement or garage? Rent a space that fits your needs and make some money while getting some room back at home.

Part of the event is a Cash Prize Raffle, for which there will be three(3) prizes. First Prize is $500, Second Prize is $300, and Third Prize is $150. 

So, please bring your friends and family and see what we have to offer. There is no visitor entrance fee for the show, and all proceeds from space rentals and the raffle go to help make boating a safer, more enjoyable pastime.
