Wet forest plants thrive in high-rainfall areas and can add lush greenery and vibrant flowers to gardens and landscapes. This class will cover species suitable for Hawaii's moisture-rich environments. Learn techniques for propagating these plants from seeds, cuttings, and/or divisions.

We'll be exploring techniques for seed collection, properly sowing seeds, making cuttings, seed stratification, and nurturing plants to maturity. This step-by-step approach will help you gain confidence that you can grow these plants for yourself.

About The Instructor:

Dave Pollmiller, owner of Harvest Garden Hawai’i LLC, has been in the landscaping & agriculture industry for 15 years. Harvest Garden Hawai’i is a landscaping and nursery operation based in Kula, Maui. The focus of this business is to incorporate native Hawaiian plants and food producing plants into “traditional” landscaping. He started a commercial plant nursery in 2023 which grows over 50 species of native plants for landscaping and restoration projects.
