Get Creative and Discover Harwich's Story

Young people are invited to take part in two exciting workshops at Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre on 18 August and 20 August. These free and interactive sessions will help participants develop ideas for their competition entries by exploring Harwich's rich history, learning about heraldry, and creating designs inspired by the town's unique heritage.

As part of the competition, the winning design will be brought to life and displayed outside Harwich Library, creating a lasting community landmark inspired by local young people.

Activities include:

• A fun history scavenger hunt and heraldry challenge.
• Creative brainstorming around Harwich's past, present, and future.
• Designing and sketching ideas with support from workshop facilitators.

Returning participants are encouraged to attend the second session, where they can receive further support to develop, refine, and finalise their designs.
