Harwich Guy Carnival

Join us for Harwich Guy Carnival on Saturday 31 October 2026, an evening of colourful floats, community spirit and fundraising for local charities!

This year also marks the 70th anniversary of Harwich’s much-loved Big Heads, so come along and help celebrate this distinctive local tradition.

The procession sets off at 6.30pm from the top of Ainger Road in Upper Dovercourt, travelling towards Harwich via the midway point at Asda/the football club and finishing on West Street at approximately 8.30pm.

Bring your friends and family, cheer on everyone taking part and look out for the collection buckets supporting local good causes.

Organised by Harwich Festival, with thanks to the volunteers, participants and supporters helping keep the carnival tradition alive.
