Need help?
Every North Carolina student needs a team helping them plan, prepare, and succeed after high school. School counselors, CTE teachers, career development coordinators, and school leaders all have a hand in connecting what students learn in class to the careers and postsecondary paths ahead of them.
This one-day summit brings together Hatching Results, Xello, SCUTA, and Universal Technical Institute to strengthen college and career programming through data-informed practice and MTMDSS-aligned systems. It’s built around what North Carolina schools are already working on: career development plans, CTE pathway and credential completion, and college and career readiness for every student.
Who should attend?
This summit is built for the people who move college and career work forward in North Carolina schools:
- School counselors and counseling leaders
- CTE teachers and CTE directors
- Career development coordinators and work-based learning coordinators
- Career and College Promise (CCP) and early college liaisons, plus career coaches
- Exceptional Children (EC) leaders and transition specialists
- Principals, assistant principals, and district and regional support staff
Bring your team. Strong college and career systems get built when counselors, teachers, and leaders plan together.
You’ll learn how to:
- ✅ Apply an MTMDSS framework to strengthen college and career programming across all postsecondary pathways
- ✅ Build a tiered college and career plan for your school and leave with a 30-day action plan you can start the next week
- ✅ Turn Xello reports into action by spotting gaps in student engagement and progress, then building stronger pathways for every student
- ✅ Use SCUTA and other data to identify students who need support, monitor progress, and create reports that show your impact. Participants receive complimentary SCUTA access for hands-on practice.
- ✅ Lead real-world career conversations with students and families about future job opportunities
The day includes interactive breakout sessions, a guided tour of UTI’s Mooresville campus, and a panel with voices from education and the skilled trades industry. You’ll see how classroom learning lines up with what employers expect, and how to bring that back to your school.
If you’re ready to sharpen your college and career systems and leave with tools you can use right away, this summit is for you.
