Hathersage Choir Summer Concert

The theme of our summer concert is peace, hope and love.

We are singing two larger works; Faure’s Requiem, a a beautifully serene work about faith in eternal rest which is uplifting and hopeful and Ave Maris Stella by Cecilia McDowell. This is a beautiful and moving piece starting and finishing in a mood of peace and certainty, the work is structured around a turbulent middle section anticipating the gathering storm. These longer pieces will be paired with two short pieces; Cantique De Jean Racine (Faure) and Love Divine (Howard Goodall).

Your ticket includes a free programme and a glass of wine or juice at the end of the concert.
