Sing Songs from the Musicals with Hathersage Choir

Join Hathersage Choir for a brand‑new five‑week singing course celebrating Songs from the Musicals. This friendly and enjoyable course is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the joy and wellbeing benefits of singing in a choir. The course costs £32 for the five sessions, (29 June, 6, 13, 20 and 27 July). We will meet at Hathersage Memorial Hall and start at 7.30pm until 9.30pm (including a 15 minute break). The course is led by Caroline Hallam, the Musical Director of Hathersage Choir.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced singer, you’ll be warmly welcomed and fully supported. Sheet music will be provided, but no music‑reading skills are required, and learning tracks will be available to help you practise between sessions.

Over the course, we’ll learn three much‑loved musical theatre pieces:

• A rousing Les Misérables medley
• Circle of Life from The Lion King
• When I Grow Up from Matilda

Alongside learning the songs, you’ll be introduced to:

• Healthy and sustainable singing technique
• Musical theatre style and performance techniques
• Expression, storytelling and communication through song
