What Brazil Reveals about the Global Far Right

Rodrigo Nunes is an associate professor in modern and contemporary philosophy at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in Brazil, and a visiting fellow at the University of Essex in the UK. He is the author of Neither Vertical Nor Horizontal: A Theory of Political Organization (Verso, 2021) and Anatomy of Disintegration: What Brazil Reveals about the Global Far Right (Haymarket, 2026), among other titles in several languages. His texts have appeared in publications such as Les Temps Modernes, Radical Philosophy, South Atlantic Quarterly, Boston Review, Jacobin and The Guardian. As a popular educator and organizer, he has been involved in several initiatives over the years, including the first editions of the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre.
