What is Wisdom Within the Womb?

The embryo spirals into form through the first 8 weeks in utero. During this time there are key phases of development that can leave deeply rooted patterns in your being. These patterns impact the ways you gesture into life, beneath the level of everyday consciousness: through body, movement, perception and relationship to self and others.

We all have imprints of the earliest echoes of our development. They occupy spaces within us that predate verbal articulation and, even, nervous system development. These imprints inhabit a consciousness that is far more fluid and cellular than cerebral.

Wisdom Within the Womb explores these key stages of embryonic development through gentle somatic movement & dance, embodied rest, creative process & reflective practice.

We enter this territory through the wisdom of the sensing, feeling body. We seek to listen to what emerges: often awe struck by what emerges into relationship to be seen, to be met, to be held within the field of the embracing presence of adult consciousness. We learn to meet the past with presence, allowing a new story to emerge.

‘The wave function of a relived past moment overlaps with the wave function of now, and the two unite to form a new way forward.’ Zohar

As we explore these themes, we ground in our own inner resources: the places that root us within the present moment and bring their own sense of nurture, welcome, & connection.

This series will give space for a process of dreaming into being: for you to attune to what would like to be born through you, through shared practice and meaningful connection.

Why explore the journey of the unfurling embryo?

The gestures of the embryo offer rich ground for somatic exploration and psychological integration. This journey encompasses each of our own origin stories and will connect you with your emergent potential.

Tracking the organic process of the growing embryo can remember within you the lived experience of collaboration and sacred pause that serve to enliven clarity and reverence of being.

Cultivating space to explore somatic developmental themes through shared practice serves to remember interconnection with each other and within a far wider field.

Remembering the power and re-patterning potential of orienting toward support affirms the existence and accessibility of a radically compassionate inward presence, in the here and now.

Falling in love with the joy of being in your own body invites an interplay with presence: the emergence of a way of being where the field of your heart finds resonance with the grit and beauty of all of life.

This series is for you if you are seeking to deepen your existing practice through an immersive relational approach integrating psyche and soma.
