The Gentle Good

The Gentle Good is the moniker of Cardiff-based musician and songwriter Gareth Bonello. Known for his enchanting melodies, intricate guitar style and beautiful acoustic arrangements, The Gentle Good is a highly praised songwriter on the Welsh music scene and a winner of both the Welsh Music Prize and Welsh Language Album of the Year Award.

The Gentle Good’s latest album ‘Elan’ is a psychedelic portrait of the Elan Valley in Powys, Wales. Written during a year-long residency in the Cambrian Mountains, Elan draws on folk, rock and psych influences to invoke the dramatic lanscapes of the region. The album was nominated for the Welsh Music Prize in 2025 and recieved 4 star reviews from the likes of Songlines, Shindig! and Americana UK and praised as “a worldwide folk classic” by Joyzine.

Flickers from the Fen

Hailing from Somerset’s nethermost moor, Flickers from the Fen’s homely Dungeon Synth sets treasured memories of late night RPG sessions to music. Performing live with an eclectic arsenal of instruments, listeners are placed in the heart of a medieval square on market day. Mercian Sam is the serf behind the synthesis, whose MIDIeval melodies map a tapestry of fantasy nostalgia.

FftF’s third LP ‘Stoned in Gielinor III’ was released 20/2/26 on Crypt of the Wizard / Phantom Lure, supported by tours in the USA and UK/EU. Recent features include The Wire, Bandcamp Daily, Angry Metal Guy, Uncut Magazine and Invisible Oranges.
