Look for bats flying as the sun sets, and hear bats’ calls through a bat detector. Then look for lights in the dark...
Join us to learn about and look for bats and glow worms in Hazel Hill Wood, near Salisbury. We’ll start with a short introductory talk about bats and glow worms and then set off on a guided walk around the woodland, all led by Charley Miller, our Conservation and Education Coordinator.
Children are welcome to come with a responsible adult who must supervise them at all times.
Your money will support Hazel Hill Trust’s charitable work promoting wellbeing, resilience and sustainability: for individuals, society and the natural world.
This event is supported by funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
What to wear
Dress for the weather in clothes and sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. We highly recommend long trousers due to the presence of ticks in the wood - please click here for more info. Please check the weather forecast and bring waterproofs, warm layers and insect repellent as appropriate – if you’re not sure then bring it all! We will be outside for the duration and the temperature may drop rapidly after the sun goes down.
How to get here
