Autumn Conservation Weekend

As autumn arrives, we invite you to spend a weekend working alongside the Hazel Hill team, caring for the woodland and helping create the places that allow people to reconnect with the living world.

These weekends are about practical conservation with purpose. Together we’ll care for habitats, manage the woodland, harvest timber, and this year we’ll also be building some of the infrastructure that supports Hazel Hill as a woodland retreat centre. The work might include woodland management, carpentry, path improvements or other practical projects that help us welcome people into the wood for years to come.

There is something deeply satisfying about working with your hands in good company. We aim to work hard enough to earn a good rest: a day spent outdoors, moving, learning new skills, sharing stories and seeing tangible progress by the time we put the tools away.

Afterwards, the pace slows. Wander beneath the trees, enjoy good food around the table, or soak in the newly refurbished wood-fired hot tub as evening settles over the woodland.

This weekend is an opportunity to become part of Hazel Hill’s ongoing story, helping care for a place where people come to heal and learn through deeper connection with the living world.

What's included

Your £150 ticket includes:

• Two nights’ accommodation.
• All meals from Friday evening to Sunday lunch.
• Guided conservation and build activities led by the Hazel Hill team.
• Enjoyment of the woodland, shared spaces and wood-fired hot tub.
• Everyone pitches in with preparing meals and washing up. Sharing the practical tasks of daily life is part of the experience.

Community tickets

Thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund, we expect to offer a number of subsidised places for people living in the Salisbury area.
