HBAM Training - Look, Lean & Roll 19 Jul 26

Sun 19 Jul 2026 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM North Weald Airfield, CM16 6HR

Use this events page to register for a place on a Look Lean Roll course in 2026.
Courses will take place on Sunday 26th April, 17th May, 19th July and then the last of the year on 20th September.
Booking on this event is for the date & time shown above.

Even if you think you know exactly how to control your bike you may learn something....or at least confirm that you were right all along!

So what is LLR?
The course coaches two key skills to help you develop your riding – Positive/Counter Steering and effective controlled Braking.

You will practice using them via exercises on a large, grippy surface. All the exercises are applicable to riding on the roads.

The positive steering exercises will help to develop your cornering – ie looking where you’re going, leaning your bike via positive steering and gently rolling on the throttle to gain maximum grip and stability.

The Braking exercise will give you guidance in the most effective use of your brakes and develop your confidence in what they are really capable of.

The courses are restricted to 14 attendees split into two groups of 7, and the groups move around the areas sequentially: - a slalom course, an oval 'roundabout' and a braking area.

There are short breaks between each session for refreshment and a chance to compare notes with your fellow riders.

If you are an Associate the course complements the Advanced Rider Course that you are working on. It is also a worthwhile refresher for those who have already passed their test.

You should come away having improved your cornering and braking skills and having had an enjoyable morning doing so. It takes place come rain or shine.

There will be an experienced team of Observers available to guide you and encourage you throughout the event.

Please note that this is not a slow riding course. Those skills are honed on a completely different HBAM course.
