HBOT South Wales October Tour (SWOT)

For October 2026 we are proposing a South Wales October Tour (SWOT) with a 3 day weekend starting 09/10/26 to 11/10/26.

We will be staying in Monmouth using the Premier Inn as a base. They have a bar and a restaurant so we can eat there or book somewhere local.

So the weekend will be, Friday; a ride to Monmouth, Saturday; a tour around South Wales probably including the Brecon Beacons National park, then travelling home on the Sunday.

Description:

Building on the SWAT which has been an amazing part of HBAM for many years we will be trialing the South Wales October Tour! (SWOT) to see if people would like to finish off the season with a small tour.

Day 1. Setting off from our familiar spot at McDonalds in Leighton Buzzard with a 9.30 depart we take in the sights as we head west towards Monmouth Premier Inn.
Day 2. (Saturday) Starting and finishing at Monmouth Premier Inn, we'll be taking in the diving hills and dales around Wales as we hit a few cafes and petrol stations on our way. We'll be trying to find a few of the HBAM challenge spots as well.
Day 3. (Sunday) Starting from Monmouth Premier Inn we're back on the road again and making our way back east with the aim to roll into Leighton Buzzard McDonalds by 4pm to get everyone home before dark.

This is a tour aimed at those who can't return to the SWAT but fancy doing it again. Or someone looking to get a bit of tour experience before hitting the continent. Open for riders of all skill levels. More details to follow as we firm up plans.

We are unable to run these tours without the involvement of Ride Leaders and TEC's which is greatly appriciated so the tour going ahead will be dependant on sufficient members signing up to support the tour so separate tickets will be available.

If you would like to attend please join the waiting list initially to be informed when tickets are avaialble, we will also set up a What's App Group, once we have some interest to post more info closer to the event.
