Description

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this event. Funded by Heads On through NHS Charities Together's Covid-19 appeal in partnership with Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), this conference is part of a wider programme of work delivered by Heads On and BSMS across Sussex. Special thanks to Dr Neil Singh who has co-ordinated the programme.
Come and be inspired by talks and workshops showcasing anti-racist projects, all geared towards improving the physical and mental wellbeing of minority ethnic groups. The aim of this conference is to be future focused, to share ideas and learning to inform future best practice.
Get insights on how to translate anti-racist theory into everyday practice, and how to reduce disparities in access and outcomes for patients. We will also discuss how to celebrate difference in the workplace and protect staff members from both interpersonal an institutional racism.
We welcome anyone working in health and social care (clinical, academic, managerial, or other) to come and share the day with us. You will hear about a range of health settings (hospitals, community care, and mental health) so there is something for everyone.
Who can attend? Anyone working in:
