Our Resilient Nature: Meditations at Headwaters
Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CDT
Headwaters at the Comal, 78130
Description
Join Emily Manderson for outdoor guided meditation at Headwaters at the Comal. During this guided meditation, participants will be encouraged to connect with the surrounding environment, as well as themselves. It will be an opportunity to slow down the nervous system through breathwork and by simply being outside. In nature, people start to become more aware that they are not alone and are part of something greater. The communing time will also include meditative walks, nature wonders, and other practices that will explore our connection and relationship with nature, while being at the beautiful and special headwaters of the Comal River.
Emily Manderson works in the environmental field as Principal and Co-Founder of the Blackland Collaborative, Inc., providing ecological consulting on a variety of land-based projects. While working at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Emily was a consultant for the Headwaters project during the Master Planning phase. Blackland continues to consult as part of the design team. Emily also has a background in self-development through traditional therapy practices, Kundalini yoga training, and in-depth programs such as; Awakened Motherhood, Regenerative Leadership Program, Intuitive Artist Academy, and Manifest and Thrive. Emily and her husband are parents of two wonderful kiddos. Her family and nature are her greatest teachers.
A special Thank You to the New Braunfels Noon Lions Club for their sponsorship of this program.
