Preschool Nature Adventure - Fall 2025

Come join us for our Preschool Nature Adventure program! 

• Each adventure runs from 9:00-10:00am and begins with a nature story, followed by a short hike and activity to explore the natural world around us.

• This program is perfect for young explorers 3-6 years old and their grownup. Younger siblings are welcome!  Please register all attending in your group.

September 8th: What Can We Spot in Nature? - We will read Step Gently Out, welcome our friends back to the program, then find a sit spot and notice the amazing living things around us. 

September 22nd: Who Lives Here? - We will read Some Bugs, then we will find, observe, and learn about some of our native invertebrates!

October 20th: What Will Happen to My Pumpkin? - We will read Pumpkin Jack, dissect and describe the inside of a pumpkin, solve a life cycle puzzle, and then make a pumpkin craft to take home! 

November 3rd: What is it Like to Be a Tree? - We will read If I Were a Tree, use our bodies to grow like a tree, then touch and match seeds, leaves and bark with our beautiful native trees around the site. 

November 17th: What Are You Thankful For? - We will read Giving Thanks, notice signs of fall all around us, share our favorite thing in nature today, and then work with our grown up to make a Thankfulness Card! 

Arriving Late?  A greeter will be at the trailhead for 10 minutes after the program start time to help guide you. After that, we'll be out on the trail learning and exploring! This program typically begins at the amphitheater by the river - follow the short trail to your right to find the group. You can always stop by the front office and we'll help you get connected with the group.
