Guided Tour: Erosion Control
See practical erosion control in action on this guided walking tour of the Headwaters property. Explore the techniques used to manage stormwater, reduce erosion, and make the most of every rainfall.
Along the way, you'll learn how features such as berms, swales, and other simple, low-tech solutions help slow, spread, and soak in rainwater. These approaches reduce runoff and minimize damage from heavy rainfall events, while keeping as much rainwater on our property as possible.
This tour is led by Headwaters Conservation Program Specialist Jack Downey. The tour begins at 8:30 AM and lasts one hour. Afterward, you are welcome to explore on your own.
