Celebrate the beauty of autumn with a guided tour through the restored savanna at Headwaters at the Comal! Fall is one of the best times to experience the colors, textures, and diversity of Texas native grasses and plants. Along the way, we'll explore the "big four" grasses of the tallgrass prairie, discover shade-tolerant species, and discuss native alternatives to traditional turf. You'll leave this our with plenty of ideas and inspiration for your own landscape. Bring your camera and a notebook to record the many options you can include in your own yard!
This tour is led by Conservation Program Specialist Jack Downey. The tour begins at 8:30 AM and lasts one hour. Afterward, you are welcome to explore on your own.
