Learn how to make a rain barrel for your home garden from a member of the NBU Conservation and Customer Solutions department!
All necessary supplies and materials, including the barrel, will be provided. You'll also learn about great home rebates that can save you money as you install your native garden bed or pocket prairie.
Native plants are drought tolerant, so they do not require as much watering as other non-native plants or lawns. By the end of this class, you'll have the tools to help support your newly installed landscaping, rain or shine. Plus, you'll be conserving resources and saving money. A real win-win.
A guided tour of Headwaters highlighting the restoration work done here at the site will be offered following the program. Kids activities will also be provided for those young participants who are not helping build the rain barrels.
Please purchase a free child ticket for any children attending.
A Special Thank You to New Braunfels Utilities for helping make this program possible.
