The Space Between Us is being created as one of those gatherings.

For one weekend in November, just 18 men will take over the beautiful Forum in Mountmellick for two days of brotherhood, ancestral and shamanic work, ceremony, breath, movement, extraordinary food, music, sound, deep rest, laughter and real conversation.

Not a conference.

Not a packed retreat.

Not two days of sitting around talking about our problems.

Something much more human.

A chance to leave ordinary life at the door and enter a space created entirely for the men inside it.

THE FORUM

The moment we found The Forum, something about this retreat changed.

This isn't simply accommodation.

It is a beautifully restored former church, full of character, warmth, history and atmosphere.

High ceilings.

Old walls.

Beautiful windows.

Warm communal spaces.

And the kind of acoustics that only a building like this can give us.

For one weekend, we have the opportunity to make this extraordinary building our own.

Within the natural acoustics of The Forum, Brian will create an immersive soundbath designed to allow the nervous system to soften and the body to completely let go.

You won't need to achieve anything.

Close your eyes.

Breathe.

And receive.

Sound and vibration will move through this remarkable old space as Brian guides the room towards deep rest, stillness and relaxation.

being allowed to simply receive can be powerful work in itself.

THE WORK

Across the weekend we will move between the ancient and the contemporary.

Men's work.

Shamanic practice.

Ancestral exploration.

Breath.

Movement.

Music and sound.

Ceremony.

Teach Allais-inspired sacred work.

Silence.

Conversation.

And the simple but increasingly rare experience of men genuinely being together.

There will be opportunities to explore questions many of us rarely have space to ask:

What am I carrying?

What has been handed to me by the men who came before?

What still belongs to me?

What can I finally put down?

What do I want to carry forward?

And perhaps most importantly:

What kind of man do I want to be from here?

You won't be forced to speak.

You won't be pushed somewhere you don't want to go.

And nobody is coming to tell you how a man should live.

You choose your depth.

NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE DEEP

This matters.

There will be serious work during this weekend.

But there will also be serious amounts of laughter.

There will be cups of tea.

Stories.

Music.

Beautiful food.

Conversations around the table.

Quiet corners.

Moments that make you think.

And moments that make you forget completely that you're on a retreat.

Our land-based chef Lloyd brings a relationship with food that goes far beyond simply feeding a group.

Seasonality.

Nourishment.

Creativity.

SOMETHING BRIAN BELIEVES STRONGLY

Brian doesn't believe that.
