Step into spring with this new creative writing course delivered by returning external trainer Gilly Beckett.
The course consists of 4 sessions which will run on Thursday mornings from Thursday 21 April until Thursday 12 May. Each session will run from 10.45am - 12.45pm online, via Zoom.
Writing creatively has been known to offer a safe space to express ourselves and allow us to channel our imagination creatively. It can make such a positive difference in our lives. The more we do it, the more we will learn how to use it and the more effective a tool it becomes. Writing can aid our memory, help us to feel more positive, and can help us to communicate more effectively.
Whether you already enjoy writing, or you really want to start writing, or even if you’ve just been thinking about writing - this new course is all about discovering fresh ways to write - about you - and beyond.
Our exercises are all about simplicity. You do not need to have any prior experience or knowledge of writing to attend this course, just a curiosity and desire to explore, if writing for your wellbeing is for you.
Below is an example of an exercise we may complete together during the course:
How are you feeling today?
Compare yourself to the weather – ask yourself what kind of weather am I in this present moment?
Write about it.
Look around at what you see - take photographs - with your eyes.
Write about it.
Total number of places: 10
