Glasgow Outernational is a new celebration of the fringes - for the people and spaces who operate outside of the city’s mainstream.

Without a home for more than 6 years, we have the pleasure of welcoming yous to the monumental opening of the new African Arts Centre! We’re feeling honoured to celebrate the return of a space that has been central to so many of our experiences of Glasgow.

Healthy, Polyterror, Ghost Art School, Pebbles from a Machine and assorted others are cooking up a full day and night of performance, music, installation, weirdness and joy on the first Saturday of June. No external funders here, just a whole lot of community love🤍

We’ll be uniting friends, foes, lovers and loners across disciplines for our very own hyper-local one-day show of culture in Glasgow - inaugurating the African Arts Centre’s huge new location and raising money to secure their future.

In a time where arts and nightlife infrastructure is fraying around us, come weave yourself into the Glasgow Outernational

Entry is by a minimum donation of £10. If you don't want to pay £10 then maybe you'd like to help out - please drop us an email - polyterrorpolyterror@gmail.com. We're looking for all sorts of volunteer helpers on the day. The organisers and artists are giving their time for free, all money after small costs will go to the African Arts Centre's charity. 

The location will be sent to ticket holders a few days before the event, but it is East End and about a half hour walk from the city centre. 

The event runs from 3pm til LATE. Come early for indoor outdoor exploring action. Come back later for the melting pot - we want this to be the place that everyone ends up that day. Your ticket allows you to come and go. AAC will be serving tasty food. 

The venue is step free with accessible toilets, however the floor is uneven in one or two of the rooms. Remember that this isn't your average venue. Please take extra care of the space and each other xx
