HUP Seminar - Healthy Homes Special
This Healthy Homes special seminar will focus on the latest research using linked datasets to understand the relationship between housing and health.
We will hear from three speakers from across the UK:
Dr Ella Foggitt, Senior Research Fellow/Study Manager, Born in Bradford's Healthy Homes Project: How retrofitting Bradford's social housing impacts resident health, indoor conditions, energy use and economic outcomes.
Dr Olivia Swann, Senior Clinical Research Fellow, University of Edinburgh, Homes, Heat and Healthy Kids: Understanding connections between underheated homes and respiratory infections in preschool children in Scotland.
Dr Isobel Braithwaite, Honorary Research Fellow, UCL, and Public Health Consultant: Health effects of home energy efficiency; a longitudinal analysis using the SAIL database in Wales.

The Healthy Urban Project aims to understand how local urban places impact health and how this understanding can be used to help cities become healthier and happier places to live.
As part of this project, we will be hosting a series of online seminars that will aim to explore a variety of research topics relating to the impact of urban environments on health by inviting guest speakers to share their research.
The 2026 seminars will take place online at 11am on the last Wednesday of the chosen month.
