Jackson /Wilson Quartet: Jazz at Land's End
Jackson/Wilson Quartet is the combined forces of Juno Award winning trombonist Andrew
Jackson, and Four time Music Nova Scotia award- winning guitarist Sam Wilson. Together they
have been exploring the interplay of trombone and guitar, honing their musical chemistry since
2014.
At the time of their meeting, both musicians were searching for a setting to explore jazz in a less traditional format, and they quickly realized they were on a similar musical discovery. Over the past decade, this has led them to develop a common musical language, creating an original sound that is contemporary, thoughtful, and fresh. Their 2023 album “New Doors” received critical acclaim, and since the release, the two have had the opportunity to tour across the country.
Joined by bassist Gabriella Ciurcovich, and drummer Caito MacDonald, audiences can expect a wide variety of sounds, from original music, jazz classics, and familiar pop hits.
