A Small Pause to Nourish Self - 6 Week Online Art Therapy Group for Caregivers
Share this event
As caregivers we spend so much of our time pouring into others. When was the last time you were able to pause, connect, and nourish yourself?
We invite you to step into this art therapy series and engage in a dedicated, supportive, and creative online community focused on positive resourcing and what caregivers really need; acknowledgment, grace, and compassion. This 6-week online series is a safe sanctuary where you can recharge, connect with other caregivers, and practice self-nourishment through creative art and expression.
What to Expect Each Week
Each session is built around metaphors designed to help you gently reflect on your own needs (like creating a "nourishing landscape" or finding a symbol of your inner strength).
Our routine each week:
Gather: We start with a warm welcome and a gentle introduction and check-in.
Create: We have 50 minutes of quiet, open time to make art, journal, and reflect. You can follow our metaphor invitation or just create whatever you're called to that day.
Connect: We gather back together to share our art and reflections. Sharing is always completely optional!

Facilitated by professional Art Therapists Jessica Clarke and Sandy Dickson, members of the Canadian Art Therapy Association.
Jessica Clarke - I am an Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) located in Vancouver, BC. I am a mother of two, and a caregiver to my eldest who is non-speaking with special needs. I have a background in visual arts and am passionate about supporting others on their journeys to self-discovery and empowerment with art and expression.
Sandy Dickson - I am an Art Therapist living in Nelson, BC. I work part-time as a support worker for adults with diverse abilities and my background is in education and human services. I have always enjoyed exploring art-taking classes and trying out new mediums. I have come to realize how my creativity is a way of being and that I express it in many different ways, and most importantly, engaging in creativity feeds my soul, and soothes my nervous system, and I love inviting others to reconnect to their own creativity as a source of hope and inspiration.
