Join us for a Christmas Wreath Extravaganza and use your freedom of style to create a lavish wreath to adorn your front door! Stay for both the morning and afternoon workshop and make a second unique wreath to gift to a loved one!

Lorraine and Renée have come together to offer you a choice of two very different styles of wreath, either a Coppiced Hazel Base Wreath or a Mossed Wire Base Wreath, the choice is yours! Enjoy the company of others in the beautiful location of Lloyd Hall, we have both the use of the impressive main hall plus the Chilvers room so plenty of room to spread out!

Option 1. Hazel Base Wreath

Join Lorraine to create a large wreath from Hazel, Birch and Curly Willow that she has coppiced from local woodlands in the Surrey Hills as part of a sustainable woodland management programme. We start with a little work out, warming and limbering up our hazel rods to then weave them into place to create your wreath base. The wreath can then be intertwined with Birch and/or Curly Willow and dressed with a selection of freshly cut foliage and foraged materials including the traditional addition of Holly and Ivy.

Option 2. Moss Base Wreath

Join Renée AKA The Girl who Gardens to make a Christmas Wreath that is both beautiful and kind to nature. In this 2.5 hour workshop you will make a wreath created with local materials that has been sustainably foraged. You’ll start by making a mossed wire base and Renée will show you how to bring the stunning colours of Winter to your front door by adding beautiful foliage, berries and cones to create a unique natural evergreen wreath.

Time

Morning workshop: 10:00 am to 12:30 p.m.

Afternoon workshop: 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Included in the workshop:

All materials are provided but bring any bling you want to add so that you can tie it into your Christmas colour scheme. We can show you how to add decorations, ribbons, fairy lights and even champagne corks to your wreath!

Suitability

The workshop is suitable for adults and children (if accompanied by an adult). You will be able to work independently or in pairs.

Please note, we can provide a ready-made Hazel and/or Willow Wreath base to decorate for those who may find it too difficult to make themselves.

What should I bring?

We recommend you bring a pair of secateurs and gloves. You may also bring your own Christmas ornaments to add to your wreath if desirable,
