This immersive workshop offers an opportunity to explore:
~ each of the quadrants of the Wheel of Consent® in more depth,
gaining more embodied awareness of the impact of power on our capacity to choose, and
~ navigating repair with more presence and care.

We are drawing from practices offered by the Wheel of Consent®, Right Use of Power, Process Work, and Deep Democracy.

Pre-requisite:
Attended an in-person 3-day Wheel of Consent® Workshop with Helena (in or since 2023) or
Attended an in-person Like A Pro with The School of Consent (in or since 2023)

These practices are simple. The impacts are subtle and profound.

You will come away from this offering with a deepened ability to navigate with more care for yourself and others in all your interactions.
We will further deepen these practical embodied skills - cultivating personal power:
໑ Access a felt sense of safety in your body and nervous system
໑ Connect to what feels good and brings you joy
໑ Notice, value, and voice what you want, what you are available for, and what you don’t want
໑ Notice, value, and voice what you parts of you and your experience need naming and tending
໑ Notice, value, and voice what you parts of the dynamic need naming and tending
໑ Notice your tendency to go along with what is being done and reverse it
໑ Cultivate empathy and care without self-abandonment while navigating conflict or rupture
໑ Navigate power dynamics, trauma, and systemic oppression and their impact on our capacity to access choice and uphold boundaries (yours & others)

Our increased awareness enables more authentic relationships centered in safety, clarity, and ease.
Applied professionally, it makes us more effective practitioners, able to affect human change and healing, honouring the dignity of our clients without burning out. Applied personally, it allows us to access deeper self-trust, resilience, and more meaningful connections.

Training Guidelines
How we ask that you engage with each other:
1. Confidentiality — outside the practices and the group, share only your own experience and learnings.
2. All feelings are welcome and do not need to be justified or explained; honor the feelings that arise in others by allowing them to feel without fixing or advising.
3. Share with intention, using "I" statements. Bring awareness to power. Listen with attention.
4. Use the names and pronouns people request, and honor the lived experience of those in the group. Practice curiosity and setting aside assumptions about people's identities and experiences (e.g. gender, racialization, sexuality, etc.). Orient towards care.
5. Stay within the stated limits of each practice. The workshop is clothed. We will not state wants for, or make requests or offers for unclothed, genital, or explicitly sexual touch during exercises. There will be options to engage in non-sexual touch with other participants and it is not required. You never have to touch anyone you do not want to, and you are allowed to change your mind as many times as your mind changes. You get the full value from the workshop however you choose to participate.

What we invite for your own experience:
1. Invite beginner’s mind — everything we offer is an experiment and an opportunity to notice yourself; take what works for you and leave the rest.
2. Choosing is more important than doing. Participation can look many ways and you choose how you want to participate — actively join an exercise, witness, journal, take a break, and change your mind at any time!
3. Do not do anything you do not want to do.
4. Self-care and self-regulation — take care of your needs (for water, rest, movement, etc.)
