How We Met
Helen met Tania in Belgium earlier this year when Tania was leading a TaKeTiNa Rhythm workshop which combines rhythmic meditation with singing to support an ease of being. The practice is known to support healing in various fields. Helen was struck by the magnificence of Tania’s leadership and invited her to collaborate on a workshop combining their practices. This is the beginning of a collaborative and explorative creative journey.
About the Artists
Tania Bosak is an Australian/Croatian musician, actor, singer, and a certified Master TaKeTiNa facilitator, now living in Belgium.
Tania will be leading Polyrhythm vocal sessions, inviting participants into a unique space where rhythm meets risk, and the voice becomes both instrument and mirror. From breath to beat – embodying rhythm and voice. A space where creativity meets pulse and presence.
Through layered rhythmic cycles, improvisation, movement and Tania’s vocal rhythm kartas (loops based on polyrhythms and polymeters), we will explore the intersection of structure and freedom in music-making. Using TaKeTiNa-inspired warmups and small handheld percussion, participants will enter states of rhythmic flow, opening the body and voice to deeper presence, confidence, and creative expression.
Helen Chadwick is a songwriter, composer, singer and theatre-maker whose work bridges voice, story, and movement.
With roots in dance, piano, grassroots touring theatre collectives and devised theatre, Helen creates original group and solo performances which have toured to places as varied as cathedrals, small village halls, South American Theatre Festivals and the Royal Opera House. For the group shows she has collaborated, in particular with choreographers Steven Hoggett and Liam Steel.
Helen’s signature "song-theatre" blends rich choral music with physical storytelling and personal testimony, forming works that are poetic, bold, and deeply human.
Don't miss this opportunity to work with two seasoned performers whose practices collide in rhythm, movement, and embodied song. Their combined experience promises a weekend of bold exploration, deep listening, and joyful connection.
