Rosalind - a new opera

The première of Rosalind is being performed in King's College London, the very place where Rosalind Franklin worked on her groundbreaking research into the structure of DNA. Performed by twelve singers with a chamber ensemble Rosalind combines historical authenticity with new music, bringing one of science’s most extraordinary figures vividly to the stage.

SETTING - The Strand Chapel, 7pm - 10pm

Individual seats are unreserved, but are organised in colour-coded sections depending on ticket price.  The opera will be sung in English and surtitles will be provided on both sides of the aisles. There will be one interval of approximately 20 minutes between Act 1 and Act 2. The opera will end at approximately 9.30pm, the College will be closed at 10pm.

PRE-PERFORMANCE TALK - 6pm - 6.30pm

A pre-performance talk about the creating of a new work and bringing it to stage will take place in a lecture theatre close to the Chapel. Before the talk there will be a short drinks reception from 5.30pm in the Chapters Cafe near the Chapel.

NAMES of all ticket holders must be entered onto the ticket application form. Entry to King's College London will be by name.
