A Green Getaway: East of Helsinki - Mustavuori

Join us for our next outdoor adventure in Helsinki! 🌿
This time, we’re heading east to Mustavuori, a unique nature reserve where forest trails meet fascinating history. Mustavuori is known for its rocky ridges, hidden caves, and a network of World War I fortifications built by the Russians in the early 1900s. The area offers both beautiful nature and a glimpse into history, making it a special place to explore.

Take bus 560 to Pyhätunturintie, 00970 Helsinki (bus stop area) then ~13 min walk to the parking

From there, we will continue as a group to Mustavuori Nature Reserve and start the trail together
Coming by car?
Parking is available at Mustavuoren parkkipaikka, 00890 Helsinki.
Time: starting at 12:00 (pls arrive by 11:45 if you go by bus so we can start at 12:00 together)
Good to know:
👟 Wear comfortable shoes; the trail includes uneven and sometimes wet terrain.
🪶 Earthy colours, dark blue and grey are best (avoid white and bright colours).
🔭 This is a great opportunity to dust out your binoculars or camera and bring them with you.
🥪 Pack your own snacks and drinks.
