Join us for a hands-on sourdough workshop, where you'll learn the art of nurturing a starter, shaping loaves, and baking a sourdough bread loaf that will look as beautiful as it will taste. It's a great class for beginners and people wanting to freshen up their craft.
Bring your own large bowl plus something to cover the bowl, since you'll be taking your mound of dough home with you. Otherwise, all other supplies included. (More information provided through handouts when you buy tickets.) You'll also take home a starter provided by your instructor. A glass of wine is included.
Additional glasses of wine and wine bottles are available for purchase.
Instructor Julie Crispin attended culinary school in the Pacific Northwest. She started her career working for local icon Vitaly Paley of PALEY’S Place, and with Hands on Café Catering. Julie started her own catering company, Wild Women Catering, before leaving the food industry to become a licensed massage therapist for nearly 20 years. Her passion for food has never wavered, and baking bread is one of her meditations.
