Blacksmithing Experience Day - A day of fire, metal, hammers, sparks and new friends

Bringing HEAT to the Henbant hearth this autumn... 

Over a day of fire, laughs and lots of hammering you will learn the basics of blacksmithing with Chris Mace, our friendly local blacksmith. 

Chris is an experienced artistic blacksmith and great teacher. Over the day he will share the secrets, history and techniques of working metal into your own beautiful and practical treasures.  

Forging would be 10-4:00 with a hour break for lunch each day. 
Meet up at 9:30 for a safety briefing and cup of tea. 
10am – Demonstration and start forging.
1pm - break for lunch .
2pm back to the forging.
4-5 pm finish for the day and relax. 

Lush organic cake and drinks included, BYO lunch

Camping/van stay included (or book a stay in one of our hobbit houses www.henbant.org/stay for you and the family?) 

Standard price tickets for this are £85 and we do have a limited number of supported places at £70 for those who are genuinely on a low income and need that supplemented place. Please get in touch with Lawrence on team@henbant.org to request these.
