Hopeful Futures @ Henbant

In this Ways Forward community workshop we will think together about how we can build hopeful futures in the face of the climate and biodiversity crises.

During this session which is designed and delivered by Jo Jones and Gemma Powell, we will explore positive things that are happening locally already, think about what else we want to see happening here, and develop an understanding of what help these actions need from the community to spur them on. Hopefully everyone will leave feeling inspired and with ideas for what they can do to contribute towards climate resilience and community action - and the plan is to have some fun along the way too.

About your facilitators 

Jo lives locally and is Programme Lead for a systems change not-for-profit called North Star Transition. Much of her work focuses on convening people around complex systemic challenges to find practical ways forward - in particular at a catchment-scale. 

Gemma specialises in language and communication; she has a background in foreign language and yoga tuition with more recent experience in environmental consultancy and fair trade. The workshop will draw on influences from behavioural change science from UCL's Climate Action Unit, as used within Jo's work.
This session builds on themes that came up in the previous workshop, but newcomers are welcome and will be equally able to participate.

Walk down to the farm through the small gate near the woodchip pile. At the bottom of the orchard, turn left and head down towards the barn and main farm buildings. Walk into the middle of the farm yard and then into the garden opposite the farmhouse. Turn left and walk until you pass the trampoline and the classroom, our meeting place, is right ahead of you.
