Join us for a thrilling performance of a choral masterpiece
Henley Choral Society invite you to an evening in the company of world-class musicians and soloists to experience Mendelssohn’s, dramatic, moving, and much-loved oratorio, Elijah.
Since its triumphant premiere in August 1846, perceptions of Mendelssohn’s masterwork have varied but it is now regarded as a unique psychological drama and central to the choral canon.
Combining a kaleidoscope of orchestral and choral colour with the depth of emotion of its hero, Elijah is the thrilling result of Mendelssohn’s genius as an early Romantic composer.
We are delighted to welcome back Ross Ramgobin in the title role.
