This special performance brings together two of Hawai‘i’s most influential musical voices for an evening of talk story, shared music, and spontaneous collaboration in the intimate setting of Kapono’s at The Lounge.

Henry and Brother Noland share deep musical roots dating back to the rise of Hawai‘i’s contemporary island music movement in the 1970s and ’80s. Both artists helped shape a generation of island sound by blending Hawaiian music with reggae, rock, blues, and contemporary influences, creating music that continues to resonate across Hawai‘i and beyond.

Known as the “Father of Jawaiian Music,” Brother Noland is one of Hawai‘i’s most influential and original musical voices. Blending Hawaiian music, reggae, jazz, blues, and island rhythms into a sound uniquely his own, he helped shape generations of contemporary island music while remaining deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture and storytelling.

A multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artist, Brother Noland is widely recognized for iconic songs like “Coconut Girl”, “Pua Lane” and “Big Ship”, as well as music featured in major motion pictures and television. He also stars in the popular local TV series Haole Do It, reflecting the humor, personality, and island spirit that have made him a beloved entertainer both on and off the stage.

Brother Noland’s career has spanned decades of groundbreaking music, unforgettable live performances, and cultural advocacy, carrying both the spirit of Hawai‘i and the energy of a true entertainer.
